Advanced Vitamin Skin Therapy is the successor to the Original range -  Debut, Mild, Classic, Rich, Ultra day and night creams.The Advanced Vitamin Skin Therapy or AVST Range from Environ Skin Care evolved for use in skin at any age, or in any condition in contemporary environments. Modern Skin care's primary aim is no longer simple feel-good applications but aspires to protect, restore and assist the skin to mobilise its innate ability to repair and maintain itself. Environ's AVST is the leader in this new exciting skin care philosophy.

The combination of Vitamin A, powerful antioxidants and flavanoids help to restore skin cells resulting in a more youthful complexion. As the multi layered human skin responds to AVST it becomes smoother with greater elasticity and superior photo-protection.

AVST is produced in five varying strengths of vitamins A and C. All of the products contain antioxidants, flavonoids and penetrant enhancers while AVST 3 and up also contain peiptides to promote collagen and elastin formation. Vitamin A is used as a natural sunscreen agent in all AVST products.

No fragrance or sunscreen is included in this range. We recommend Environ RAD be used when skin is exposed to UV irradiation.

No preservatives are added during manufacture of the AVST range. The preservatives represented in the declaration of ingredients are contained in a few of the raw materials that are essential to get the full benefits of this special AVST range.

A frequently asked question is  Why doesn't AVST moisturiser have a sunscreen?

Dr Des Fernandes says that nobody needs a UVB sunscreen chemical in winter, soyou would be using a chemical to protect against something that is not a problem and you do not need.  It is best to use the AVST creams mixed with varying amounts of RAD sun cream, or use RAD separately. Not having an inbuilt sunscreen has advantages not only in winter.  You do not have to purchase a separate set of night creams.  

He stresses that you will never damage the skin with vitamin A application however high levels you use - provided you allow the skin to acclimatise.   He has used vitamin A creams on a one week old baby.  If people want to keep their skin as young as possible they should start before they are five and use them for the rest of their lives.  In that way we can minimise collagen destruction that is seen in young people at 18 - even though they appear to have beautifully smooth skin.
